The Mount Nittany Health Foundation is pleased to announce the addition of new board members, Beth Kalanek and Ted Oyler.

Welcome, Beth Kalanek!

Beth Kalanek is a real estate consultant and co-owner of The Beth Richards I Sandy Stover Group of Kissinger Bigatel & Brower Realtors. A Centre Region native, Beth (Kalanek) has practiced real estate for more than 35 years. "Real estate continues to bring meaningful purpose and enjoyment to my life, and I am thankful for the many long-lasting friendships that have been formed over the years," she says.

Outside of work, Beth enjoys biking, hiking, kayaking, and working in her garden as well as volunteering in the Arboretum bird and butterfly garden. She recently joined the State College Borough Historical Architectural Review Board (HARB) and enjoys helping with the Festival of the Arts and First Night. She also enjoys opportunities to travel with her son, Zach, and trips with friends to France—although she always appreciates the feeling of coming home to Happy Valley.

"What a great opportunity it is to be a part of the Foundation Board!" Beth says. "There's much to learn from the current board members, and I'm excited to explore new areas of growth. I look forward to contributing and am honored to give something back to our amazing community—a community that's given so much to me."

Welcome, Ted Oyler!

Ted Oyler is a Certified Financial Planner and Investment Advisor Representative  and partner with Diversified Asset Planners, Inc. Ted is a lifetime resident of State College, and calls himself "a true local."

Ted enjoys spending time with his wife, Jennifer, and children Trey and Linlee, including traveling to watch Trey's basketball games. He also enjoys golfing, being outdoors, and working out at the YMCA.

A member of the finance committee at Grace Lutheran Church, Ted previously served as vice president of the church council. He also serves on the Mount Nittany Health Foundation Golf Classic planning committee and supports the YMCA's local food insecurity initiative.

"Joining the Mount Nittany Health Foundation board is important to me, as I am able to spend more time and resources giving back," he says. "I feel strongly that continuing a strong medical system and services for the local community is a necessity. I am looking forward to learning, growing, and working with current board members to improve the quality of life in the Centre Region."

The Mount Nittany Health Foundation Board consistently demonstrates strong support for health care excellence in our region, helping to build state-of-the-art programs and facilities and secure top talent

"We welcome Beth and Ted to the Mount Nittany Health family," says Kathleen Rhine, president and CEO, Mount Nittany Health. "We look forward to the board's dedicated support as we continue to deliver best-in-class healthcare to our shared community."
